Everybody brushes their teeth with normal toothpaste, right? Well, with this at-home product, you can brush your teeth and make them whiter in fourteen days!

Step

Wet your toothbrush with cold water and dip it into baking soda. All of the bristles should be covered so that your toothbrush is white.

Brush your teeth for five minutes (spitting if necessary) two times a day.

Spit the baking soda toothpaste out and rinse your mouth clean with water. If there is a tingling or burning feeling in your mouth, this is perfectly normal. See “Warnings” for what might not be normal. And please always brush your teeth…

Tips

After brushing your teeth, brush your tongue with your favorite toothpaste and/or use a tongue scraper. Bad breath is related to teeth only when they house food debris and plaque. The main cause of bad breath is bacteria growing on the tongue.

An alternative method involves putting baking soda on the toothbrush and wetting it with a little bit of hydrogen peroxide (the cheap stuff one pours on cuts). It really does work!

Warnings

Do not use this method too often as the abrasive can permanently damage the enamel of your teeth. There are some special toothpaste brands (often for smokers) which contain much gentler abrasives than baking soda. They can be used daily without any risk for the health of your teeth and help to remove not only tobacco stains but also stains from coffee, tea, and wine.

Baking soda can dissolve orthodontic glue. Do not use this method if you have braces or a permanent retainer.

Best used only 2 or 3 times a month.

Lavender has long been regarded for its splendour and uniquely breathtaking fragrance. It is more than just a flower that gives an exquisite view to its surroundings. It also has the power to heal, not only for physical injuries but also for emotional stress.

Lavender essential oil is excellent for the skin and adding its extract to soaps and bathwater gives off a fresh fragrance. It also helps repair skin problems while making the skin feel invigorated.

Put the oil into the jar then add the plant material and stir. Cover tightly and leave for 48 hours in a sunny windowsill, shaking every 12 hours.

Lay a piece of muslin over the bowl and strained the oils. Gather up the muslin and squeeze the material to extract as much as you can.

Put the oil back to the jar and add fresh material. Continue in a same way until you get the aroma you want.

If the weather is cold and dull you can place the jar in a saucepan of cold water. Slowly heat it until the water become just hand-hot. Keep it the temperature for 10 minutes. Remove the jar. Do this once a day.

After final straining, you can put the oil into a dark glass bottled. The shelf life for your essential oil is 6 – 12 months if kept in a dry, dark, cool place.

tips:

You can mix lavender with other plants such as ; lavender and peppermint or lavender and lemon/orange peel.

For base oil ; Use a refine oil to attract the essential oils of the plant. Choose one that has pale color and mild scent. OIive oil, safflower oil and sesame oil all works well. Or you can use almond oil for cosmetics, safflower or canola for general purposes, and olive oil for cooking.
